SPEND WEEKEND IN NATION’S CAPITOLMr. and Mrs. Phil Dukes, in company with Mr. and Mrs. ArtLamoureux of Varina, Mr. and Mrs. Art Waldstein of Rembrandt, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Johnson of Webb and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Loving of Albert City spent the weekend visiting sights in the nation’s capitol.Leaving by plane from Des Moines Friday for Washington, D. C., they visited many points of interest, returning home Monday evening. The men are all employees of the Farmers Coop Association, Mr. Dukes, the manager and the others are members of the Board of Directors.Mrs. Mildred Filoon and Debbie of Lake City stayed in the Dukes home during their absence.Belle Glade, Fla. and points of interest. It was the first time in many years they had all beentogether.Enroute home, Mrs. Schulz spent a week in the Felsing home in Pella.ATTENDS SHOW IN KENTUCKYDennis Anderson returned home last week from Louisville, Ky., where he had spent a week at the International Machinery Show.SPEND WEEK IN NASHVILLEMr. and Mrs. Larry Anderson, in company with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Sundblad of Sioux Rapids, returned last week from Nashville, Tenn., where they had spent a week visiting points of interest and also attended the Grand Old Opry.BIRTHDAY PARTYMrs. Ed Hanson entertained ata birthday party after school Thursday, Feb. 12, honoring the 6th birthday anniversary of their daughter, Connie.Guests were Vicky Barber, Tracy Clausen, Rebecca Spragg, Melissa Farmer, Michele Peterson, Jayne Olney, Sarah Kallemeyn, Urilda Mowry, also Marcene Farmer and Mike and Mrs. Stephanie Kallemeyn, Joe and Bill.Games were played and ice cream and cake enjoyed at the close of the afternoon.SPENDS MONTH IN FLORIDAMrs. Leona Schulz returned home Sunday from a four-week visit in Florida.
