Man Shot in Card Game at Scottsbluff Dies. SCOTTSBLUFF. (?). Manuel Perez, forty, a Lyman sugar beet worker, died late Thursday in a hospital] here as the result of a bul let wound inflicted during a card game with Antonio Hernandez, also forty. Scotts Bluff county officers have found no trace of Hernandez and believe he had fled to the Mexican border. Perez had won thirteen cents from Hernandez and was shot when he demanded payment. The bullet entered his lung.
