R L Wardlaw vs W A Cannon.A J Holland vs Frtmk Henson.Wednesday, March 3rdMarion Espy vs Mission Ridge Brick Co.OLD RESIDENT ANSWERS CALL9Mrs Qarentinc Johnston, Aged 83 Years, Passed A-way Monday At NoonMrs. Clarentine Johnston, aged 83 years, one of the oldest residents of the town, died Monday at noon at her residence on North Main street following a lingering illness.Mrs. Johnston was the oldest of the Kelly sisters, all noted for their beauty and wit and accomplishments, being the daughters of Dr. Kelly, one of the pioneer citizens of Walker county. She was the widow of Mr. H. B. Johnston, who died in 1803, and survived by five children, Mrs. John C. Knox, Mrs. W. E. Withers, of LaFayette; Mrs. Birdie ” Gillespie, of Raymond, Miss., Mr. Wert Johnston, of Mississippi, and [ Mr. Bouoinot Jonnston, of Chattanooga, all of her children being at her bedside when the end came with the exception of Mr. Wert Johnston. Mrs. Johnston is also survived by thre sisters, Mias Laura Kelley, Mrs. Eugenia Bitting and Mrs. Mc-Cutcbeon, all of Dalton.Funeral services were held from the late residence Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, Rev. J. H. Clarke, pastor of the Presbyterian church, oiliciating, the interment following at the LaFayette cemetery.
