CELLULOIDAGAIN PROVES A DANGEROUSARTICLE TO HAVE ABOUT,Miss Hattie Burgett, the well known pianist of Lorain, had a narrow escape from death Wednesdaynight, and was frightfully burned by j the igniting of celluloid combs which she wore in her hair.Miss Burgett had entertained company that evening, and after they left she sat down beside a heating stove, leaning forward and presumably laid her chin in her hands. Suddenly the combs ignited, and in an instant her hair%was aflame.She awakened her father with her screams. Mr. Burgett endeavored to smother the flames by laying his hands on them. As soon as he removed them, the flames continued their destruction Finally he led the suffering girl to a hydrant and poured water upon her head, and thus put out the flames. A physician was sent for at once.
