While here my wife remarked that I was sick, aud he came in to see me. He said my liver was very much enlarged and that one lung was affected. He gave me rhubarb and podophylin.He also said, ‘I want you to take lots of quinine/ and left me several capsules, of which those I gave you aresamples. I took his medicine and grew very sick. On Saturday evening Messrs. Burgess, conductor on the local, and Fouch, O. M. brakeman, called and found me very sick. My wife said to me: ‘George, I had best send for your folks.’ She did so, and my father andRobert came. Dr. Bedell and my wife were in the room when they came in. Robert asked me if 1 had confidence in Bedell. I saw Bob touch my wife with his elbow. They went out of theroom together. Dr. Bedell remained, and was apparently restless. His headdropped upon his hands as he sat in a ohair, aud he seemed very uneasy. When my wife and brother came back they all went into the dining-room together.
