An Interesting Time at the Annual Spread -A Good Programme. The annual t-a-meeting of the Metho dist Church, foot of Wolfe Island, was held on Tuesday evening. The church, which on ordigary occasions is too large, was taxed to its utmost capacity, num bers having to stand up. There was a first class to provided by the good ladies of the church, which was much relished by the large congregation present. Af ter the good things had been disposed of W. P. Bell, of Kingston, was called to the chair and proved to be the right man in the right place. There was a good programme. The speakers were Rev. J. E. Mavety, Kingston ; Rev. Mr. Olivant, Inverary ; and Rev. T. Cham bers, Wolfe Island. Readings were given by Dr. Dickson, Misses Kelly, Woodman, Mrs. Kreakey and Mr. Woodman. Music was provided by the choir of the church and the Kendall family. All acquitted themselves mott creditably. The meet ing was brought to a close about 10:30 o'clock. Every one appeared well satis fied. The Methodist Church has not been for years more than at present. Rev. Mr. Gibson is deservedly ee and will no doubt do much good fore the end of his term.
