Sunday’s Funerals.MRS. MENDENHALL.The funeral of Mrs. Rachael Men denhall, yesterday, was one of the largest ever seen in Richmoud. The throng which filled the yard, and crowded the house, each anxious to take one look at the face which always had a pleasant smile, for all attested the hold she had upon the respect and love of the community. The services were not of a funeral character and were conducted by several ministers who knew and appreciated the life of this self-sacrificing woman. Remarks were made by Dr. Hadley. A beautiful and appropriate prayer was offered by the Rev. J. M. Hughes, after whicha hymn was sung which had beenselected by Mrs. Mendenhall. The Rev. Mr. McKaig read the 14th chapter of St. John and followed by a brief record of the life and religious experiences of the deceased. The friends then passed through th room to take a| final look the face and form so changed by suffering as scarce to be recognizable. A lovely cross and wreath were in the casket, composed of the rarest flowers—the offerings of loving friends. She wasburied at Earlham Cemetery, followed by a large procession of carriages.
