Woodgate was recently honoured in Toronto by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Health Minister Tony Clement as an extraordinary and diverse nurse leader. Along with 13 other nurse leaders from each province and territory, Woodgate was presented with a Canadian Nurses Association Nurse to Know Centennial Achievement Award.Woodgate, who calls herself a “kid nurse,” focuses her work on improving the quality of life for children and their families.
