HAZE I. P. PETERSON Funeral services for Hazel P Peterson. 89. of 105 Syca more St., La Porte City, were held Tuesday. February 24. 1987 at 1:30 p m. at St Paui United Methodist Church. La Porte City The Rev James L Dotson officiated Mrs Peterson died February 21. 1987 at Covenant Medical Center - W 9th, Waterloo, following a brief illness She was born Jan 8. 1898 at Porte City, a daughter of Scott and Elizabeth Pauley Bowers On March 22, 1922 she and John Vidor Peterson were united in marriage at llt;a Porte City. He diclt;1 June I. 1949 In addition to being a housewife and mother, she was a rural country school teacher and provided home care for the elderly and recovering for 30 years She was a member of limit'd Methodist Women and Ooodness Circle of SI Paul United Methodist Church and a mcntlxT of Wir men's Relief Corps.Mrs Peterson is survived bv a daughter.
