Con-Agra improved its local Slow-Break Basketball League to 12-2 with an 82-46 victory over St. Paul Tuesday night behind Fritz Schuman’s 28 points. Improved Lawson Industries downed Gold Kist, 49-37, and Cullman Products took Stiefelmeyer’s Department Store, 58-40. In addition’s to Schuman’s hot shooting, Van Scott shot in 14 points, Sonny Wells 13 and Ray Talley 10 in Con Agra’s rout. Leading scorers for St. Paul were Jake Bailey with 12 points and Ed Richmond and Al Messersmith with 10 apiece. Bill Eidson’s 14 points led Lawson, followed by Charles Wade’s 12 and Eugene Hamilton’s nine. Charlie Heaton scored 19 and Ron Jockell eight to lead St. Paul. Cullman Products was led by Eugene Sullins and Asa Brandon who scored 17 and 15 points respectively. Del Brock scored 12, Ray Heitmueller 11 and Max Brown nine for Stiefelmeyer.
