Woodland Files j Local TV Bid !|Farmington will gel its first! local television station if the Federal CommunicationsCommission grants an application filed with that agency Monday.Woodland Broadcasting Co. of Montrose, Colo, filed the application specifying VHF Channel 12.iThe company, which operated KUBC Radio in Montrose, pro* poses 30.9 kilowatts power from an antenna 517 feet above average terrain. The station would be located south of Farmington on Highway 371. According to I the president of Woodland Broadcasting Co. Berald Proctor, the station is scheduled to be an independent, although a network af filiation will be sought for the station as soon as possible. FCC action may take as long as a year.Estimated coverage for the station will approximate a radius of 40 miles.
