Arrest Two JuvenilesMOKENA — Police ChiefWayne Ryder arrested two juveniles about 3 o’clock last Wednesday morning after they had broken into two gasstations.They obtained S52 in cash,and cigarets, candy, and a pair of shock absorbers to bring the total amount of loot to $85 as a result of theirbreak-in at the Martin Murray Phillips 66 station at 193rd and Wolf Rd. That wasat 2:35 a.m.About 25 minutes later they tackled the StandardOil station at LaPorte andWolf but Edward Brennan, the operator was keeping watch inside and telephonedpolice.Chief Ryder collared the pair and recovered the things taken in the first burglary. One boy was 14 and the other 16. The 14-year-old boy told the chief he wanted the money to purchase some scuba gear. He is taking a course in scuba diving at a YMCA. The older lad had no special reason — he just wanted money, according to the report.
