Fairfield’'s new bowling alleys will be ready to open in about three weeks according to an an nouncement made this morning by Paul Caviness, one of the owners of the new business. Caviness and Jerry Ferris, who recently moved to Fairfield from Mt. Pleasant, bought the Bol-Tee roller rink located a half mile west of the city on highway 34 and are now converting the building to a bowling arena. Caviness said three men from Fargo, N. Dak., are at work in stalling the eight new alleys and another workman is to join them soon. The owners hope to be able TO Open The New park pillibee ae, the middle of March In addition to installing the al leys and other equipment neces sary for the operation of a bowling area, the interior of the building is being redecorated and renovat ed to meet the needs of the new type business. The Bol-Tee cafe, located in the front of the building, is still open for business and will remain open until further notice according to Daviness. As soon as the alleys are completed and in operation, the cafe will be remodeled and re decorated, he said. The building was erected three years ago by Robert Roley who has been operating a roller rink since.
