Ithace, N. Y., Feb. 24—(4)—Tomp kins County Coroner Ralph J. Low said tonight that Richard C. Kraf fert, 19, Cornell university student, “apparently died of natural causes.” An autopsy was performed on Kraffert, who was found dead to day in his dormitory bed, and Low said the cause of the death had not been determined. He added that a further study would be made. Kraffert, whose home wage listed as (214 Spruce st.) Titusville, Pa., was found by Frederick Christiana, a fellow student, who said that Kraffert appeared in good health last night. Richard Chase Kraffert was born in Titusville on June 23, 1927, the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Kraffert, Jr. He attended the public schools in Titusville and also the public schools in Fort Worth, Tex., while his father was stationed in that city with the Army Air Forces for two years. He graduated from the Potsdam high school. A sophomore at Cornell, he was enrolled in the electrical engineer ing class at the university. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at Cornell, and of St. James Memorial church of Titus ville. He is survived by his parents and one sister, Nancy, a student at Bryn Mawr college. The body is expected to arrive in Titusville today.
