John H. Farnum of John H. Farnum Son of Clinton st, was surprised by his friends last Tuesday and presented a loving cup. Mr Farnum was first per suaded to go camping over Tuesday, Washington's Birthday, on Round Is land, in Lake Winnipesaukee, only to find that he w the guest of honor, after which the presentation followed, J. Gilbert Nichola ex,sing the apprecia tion and admiration of his friends, which they had put into the form of the loving cup. Those in the party beside Mr Farnum and Mr Gilbert included Arthur Dle. Fol som, John Barley, Charles Dustin, Col Cummings, Brian Lumsden, Thomas F. Fisher, Cyrus Stall and William Beth wick. The party had intended to fish, but found it too cold, but managed to enjoy the week's stay on the island none the less. The camp, which carries the name of “Atta Boy Horace,” is owned by A. D. Folsom.
