Flint, a life long: resident of LaGrange county, died last Friday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, at his home in LaGrange, after a lingering illness, due to a general breakdown and the in* firraities of age. Mr. Flint was boro February 11, 1844, on a farm in Clear-spring township and resided on ths same farm until 11)11, when he sold out and moved to LaGrange. His parents, A. C. and Nancy Flint, were pioneers of LaGrange county, entering from the government the land upon which the family lived so many years. Mr. Flint was united in marriage, February ttt, 1886, to Anna S. Siegert. Twelve children were born to them, nine of tbem and the mother still living: Les, residing just southeast of LaGraage; Mrs. J. D. Hord, of Beuton Harbor. Mich.; Mrs. Spencer Weaver and David Flint, of Toledo; John Flint, jr., of Burlington, Iowa; Mrs. Richard Whit-raer, of Miami. Fla., Mrs. Danitl Van Ziie, of Cincinnati, O.; August and Madeline at home. There ere also two grand children and one slater, Mrs. Jemee Taylor, of Athens, Mich. All of the children were here to attend the funeral except Mrs. Hoard. Mr. Flint wee a civil war veteran, serving frees 1001 te IMtmd wee a member tf tfeG. A. R. The funeral waa held Monday afternoon at the residence, Rev. Rosa W. Stoakea officiating. Inter ment took place in the Jourdan cemetery, near his old home.H08TETLER Mr*. Mary Ann Hostetler died Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Melvin Yoder, at Goshen, the result of a stroke of paralysis 11 weeks ago. Her age was 74 years. She was the widow of Moses M. Hostetler, who died seven years ago and a daughter of Christian Mehl, for many yeary a resident of Newbury township. Surviving bar are 12 children: John, of Elkhart; Dr. A. J., of LaGrange; Leander, of Cleveland; Christian J., west of LaGrange; Mrs. Jacob C. Troyer, of Topaka; Mrs. C. J. Stably, of the Forke; Mrs. John Schrcck of Shlpebe-wana; Monroe J., of Elkhart; Willia M.. of 8cott; Cleveland M., of Clear-■pring townahlp; Eldon, of Emma; Mrs. M. J. Yodar and Harlaa, of Goshen. There are also four brothers and two aiaters: J. C. Mehl, of Upland. Cal,; A. C. Mehl and A. J. Mehl, of Goshen; A. K. Mohl, of Fort Wayne; Mr*. Lydia Plank and Mr*. Barbara Kuhns, of Goshen.
