GLENN JOINS CARDINALS. Harry Glenn, former Sullivan county boy, now residing in Terre Haute left Saturday for St. Augus tine, Fla., to join the St. Louis Car dinals in spring training. Glenn is signed as a catcher and his friends predict a successful season for the husky receiver. He is well known in Sullivan, and all last winter played on the Sullivan Athletics basketball team. Last season Glenn was with Ak ron, O., of the Interstate League and early in the season broke his leg and was in the hospital for weeks. He was unable to play any more but feels that his ankle is as strong as ever and predicts no trouble on that score this season. The accident oc curred just the day before he was to report to St. Louis, having been sold to that club by Nashville who had loaned him to Akron, and the hoo doo which seemed to be hanging ov er him, might have disheartened the average player, but Glenn only laughs it off and says: “Oh, that all goes in baseball. I'll give them a run for their money this season.” Glenn broke his leg sliding into sec ond base in an exhibition game with the Cleveland Naps, on July 15.
