Nelsen, who passed away Feb7 16, 1972 at 7:30 P. M. Rev. Ernest Christensen officiated at the services.Mrs. George Largey sang Behold a Host1T and Abide with Me”.She was accompanied by Mrs. Marvin Wigdahl en the Organ.Laurits Nelsen, son of Lars and Eigida Nelsen, was born Aug. 10, 1888 in Audubon, county and pass ed away at the Longhouse nursing, home in Spencer, at the age of 83 years 6 mo. and 6 davs.He spent most of his early years farming with his brother in'sou— oi them Iowa. In 1925 he moved to a farm northwest of Ruthven, la. where he lived until he moved to Ruthven in 1950'.In 1967 he moved to the Longhous Nursing Home in Spencer where he lived until his death. He was confirmed and baptized at the Lutheran Church at Elk Horn, la. Surviving are several Nieces and Nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, four broth Brs, Nels, Hans, Peter, and James sisters, Hanna Christensen and Anna Hanson.He was a veteran of W'.W. I serving in the Medical Department with the U.S. Ariry.Interment was made in the Crown Hill Cemetery at Ruthven, with members of the Ruthven, Legion Post in charge of “military rites Lightle~Hayes Funeral Home of Ruthven in charge.
