BIG GAME IN ALLAMAKEE.Last Friday Gilmore Staclsvold of Jefferson township caught a large timber wolf in a trap in which he had hoped to catch one of the ordinary kind. Timber wolves in Iowa are very rare, very few of them having been seen in recent years, and Mr. Stad§vold was greatly surpi’ised last 'Friday on approaching his traps to find this monster animal a captive. The wolf was killed and Mr. Stads-vold collected the bounty from the county. It was a vevv large one, dark trrav in color. Mr. Stadsvold ,Sr. and his son have received considerable 'notoriety from their ability to trap wolves, and the one mentioned above is the fifth one they have killed, but the only one of the timber wolf breed.—Waukon 1RS.
