Residence of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Miiburn Bums—ClothingIs LestFire Thursday destroyed the resi-| dence property of Herbert Miiburn I in North Indiana street at Patoka entailing a loss cf $5,000 which was only partly covered byinsurance.The residence was a two-story frame structure built some years ago. It was among the prettiest j residences in the city.The fire broke out in the roof presumably starting from a flue when the family was seated at lt;}in-i iter at 12 o'clock. Smoke from the ^ fire attracted the family's attention j and those of the neighborhood, but i it was then too late to save any of i the contents except tliose on the j first floor. Volunteer fire' fighters ; gave assistance, but without means iof fighting the flames other than ) with buckets they could not check | the fire. The contents of the sec-j ond story were a total loss, includ-j ing clothing of Mr. and Mrs. Mil* jburn.I' Mr. Miiburn is the proprietor of j a drug store and he was recently I appointed postmaster of the Pa-| toka post-office.
