The splendid papersby Mmi V. V. Maginley, Mitw Minna* beile Derrick and Mrs. Wm II Uw* proved to be truly a revelation to all present. The address by Mrs. G. Edward Dickerson was a master piece, also the reading of Poe s “Raven’ and Dunbar’s 4,Malinde’ were given withfine rendition by Mrs. 8ommervi!le Faun tie roy. The musical nurpbers by Mrs. Robert Lee Hackett, Mrs. Ber-rTia Smith, Mrs. Mattie B. Thompson and Mias Wilmett Keeling were rare treats. We regret the absence of Mrs. S. Layton, who was unavoidably detained. Mrs. Mable Fausett Jaaek-son accompanied fhe soloists. Mrs, Flora Lewis Makei as mistress of ceremonies, dignified her offlee with grace and efficiency.
