To Be Erected on Fowl River. General W. H. Gentry and his son Lawrence of Lexington, Ky., who have been spending some months at Portersville,for pleasure, oreturned home last night. Before leaving the city General G called upon Col. BE. L. Russell with number of other prominent Por tersville citizens and explained to the chief executive of the Mobile and Ohio Railroad the advantages Portersville and the surrounding country possessed as a wintering resort. General Gentry stated that more strangers had visited Porters ville than ever and with the com pletion of the Mobile and Bay Shore Railroad there would be hundreds of people every winter visit the coast resorts on the wes tern shore of Mobile bay. Col. E. L. Russell it is stated as sured the party that he would go to New York this week and arrange for the commencement of work on the road immediately. A number of Mobilians have al ready purchased property along the line of the road and they are work ing very earnestly to have the road pushed as rapidly as possible. General Gentry while in Lexing ton will form a stock company to erect a magnificent club house on Fowl River with accommodations for over fifty people.
