ROY L. JAMESRILLED IN ACTIONA telegram received by his wife from the War Department Monday disclosed that First Lieut. Roy L. Janies was killed in action in Ger* many on February 2nd. He had been overseas since last July and had seen action in Holland and Belgium, as a member of the 504th Division, Paratroop Infantry.Lieut. James was born in Cambridge and was a graduate of the Cambridge High School. He enlisted In August, 1942 and was sent to the Officers Candidate School at Fort Denning, Georgia. After grad uating as a second lieutenant, hewas transferred to New Orleans. After a three months' stay there, he joined the paratroopers andwas sent back to Fort Benning forparatrooper training.Lieut. James is survived by his widow, the former Miss Jeanette Dise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Dise of Easton, to whom he was married in 1940. He also is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy D. James, and two sisters, Mrs. L. W. Haley of Cambridge and Mrs. Leroy Overton of Salisbury.tr
