To Be Erected on Jane St.—Building Permits for 16 Days Exceed Total for February Last Year Due to the fact that York town ship high school board have taken out a permit this a month for the build ing of a two-storey brick and stone high school on Jane Street, the total for building permits issued by Build ing Inspector W. Dever for the first 16 days of the present month have already exceeded the total for the en tire month of February last year. Mr. Dever states that building of homes in the township is brisk and on a par with February of other years, and he anticipates a record building year in the township during 1927. The total amount of building per mits issued for the first 16 days of the present month aggregated $242, 800, as compared with $164,000, for the entire month of February last year and $111,000 for January this year. The proposed new high school on Jane Street will cost $156,000 and the trustees state that the school will be ready for the autumn term. Excava tion started a few days ago.
