They Will Begin Early Prepa ration for 1918 Campaign. Sellers Hopeful of Complete Victory, Democrats began manning the guns for the 1918 political campaign at a meeting of the county executive com mittee held last night in ©. N. Mar ron’s offices. The committee's frst move toward preparedness was the election of for mer Mayor PD. kK. B. Sellers to the of fice of county chairman. The chair manship was vacated by the resigna tion of Frank Hutt before he left for Washington, D C., to accept an ap pointment as executive clerk in the United States senate Hlis resigna tion was accepted last night. The committee had not met, until last night, since Mr. Butt's departure. The democrats, Colonel Sellers said after the committee meeting, would begin political activity early. Their first moves will be directed toward the building up of a powerful county organization to direct the campaign The organization will be begun in the precincts. Committees will be or ganized in all precincts in the county and these committees will be welded into a strong general staff Inspired by the partial success of the democrats in the count at the last election, Colonel Seller predict ed that they would place their entire county ticket in office next Novem ber The election of Colonel Sellers as county chairman was said by demo crats to be satisfactory to all elements of the party in the county and an in dication that the party would present a solid front at the next election.
