HiL of Sayre,, died at thePacker hospital yesterday at 11:30; after an illness of less than four days with appendicitis. An operation was performed on Tuesday afternoon andeverything possible done to save his life, but he did not rally from fcheshbek.Mr Hill was born ;in Towanda and until a few years ago lived here. He was about 82 years of age, and as a boy entered the store of Dr, H. 0. Porter So Son and. learned the business. -Tor several years he was employed in Jump’s pharmacy at Sayre, with the exception of a short time he was in business fo£ himself at Mehoopany.' Less than ~wo weeks ago he started in busines 3 for himself at Sayre. He was a very popular young man, genial and of ready wit and made friedds of all. with whom he came in contact.' He was a member of the Masonic fraternity.With every prospect for business^ue-cess, with a young wife to whom he was married only a fdw years ago, life must have indeed looked rosy to genial George Hill, yet he was cot down with searcely a moment’s warning.
