On motion, the meeting proceeded toappoint delegates to represent Ritchiecounty in the Senatorial convention.Whereupon, the following gentlemen were unanimously appointed, viz : Wm.Patton, Henry J. Jackson, Benj. Phillips, Edward Skelton, Richard Wanless, Wm. W. Lowther, James McKinney, John S. Porter, Cyrus Hall, John W. Corbin, 1. M. Doak, Janies Malone, Henry B. Collins, James Laylor, Edmund Laylor, Thomas McKinley, Thomas Ireland, Alex. Glover, Robert Laugh, Barnes Smith, Alexander Goff, James Hardman and Marshall Dean.On motion, the meeting then proceeded to appoint delegates to attend the Congressional convention.The following gentlemen were unanimously chosen, viz : Cyrus Hall. LewisA. Phelps, John Collins, Isaiah Wells, Wm. Patton, Robert Porter, Edmund Laylor, John A. Lowther, Juhn S. Mill* shon, II. B. Collius, John S. Porter, A. P. Law, Wm. L. Williams, Edward Skelton, Jacob McKinney, Alexander Glover, Henry J. Jackson, and H. S. Wilkison.
