BIDDEFORD — ClaudeArnold Prior, 41, of Augusta, died Wednesday, Feb. 17 in Augusta, the result of a fall into the Kennebec River.He was'bom inBiddeford on Nov. 7,1968, a son of Claude and Beatrice Buzulchuck Van Tassel. He waseducated locally and attended Massabesic High School.For several years, he worked with his father at the Van Tassel Auction in Standish. He enjoyed fishing, football, baseball and basketball.He was preceded in death by: His father, Claude Van Tassel in 2009;, a sister, Deborah Prior in 19%; and a brother, Ralph Prior in 2001.He is survived by: His daughters, Ashley Ouellette of Augusta, Di scree Prior and Tabatha Prior, both of Portland; his mother, Beatrice Van Tassel of Lyman; two sisters, Susan Bellman and Arline Laroche, both of Arundel; seven brothers, Charles Prior and William Prior, bori.of Arundel, Michael Prior, Thomas Prior and Scott Van Tassel, all of Biddeford, Steven Van Tassel of Saco and Wayne Van, Tassel of Portland; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Rita B. He had the biggest heart. His family meant the world to him.He loved the outdoors, wildlife and motorcycles. He will be missed tremendously by those who knew him.He was preceded in death by: His father, Charles Prior,Sr.; a brother, Ralph Prior; and a sister, 'Debbie 'Prior.Mr. Prior is survived by: His fiancle, Tricia L. Briggs of Augusta; three daughters, Ashley Ouellette of Machias, Allison Briggs of Orono and Morgan Barry of Augusta; a son, Joey Barry of Auguste; his mother, 'Beatrice (Buzulechuck) Van, Tassel of Lyman; eight brothers, Charles Prior, Jr., Bill, Tom and Michael Prior, Wayne, Scott and Steve Van Tassel and Earl Leconte; rive sisters, Arline Laroche, Sue Van Tassel, Holly Kimball, Ky lie Prior and, 'Kristi Prior; two grandchildren, Hayden Read and Paxton Bazinet; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
