OTTUMWA — Iele L. Brisendine, 89, of 102 W. Finley, died at 3 p.m. Feb. 20, 2007, at home. She was born Jan. 8, 1918 in Davis County to Irvin and Aliie Eakins Shepherd. She married Harley Brisendine Jan. 10, 1942. A resi dent of Ottumwa most of her life, she had been a cashier at Hallberg Grocery and then at Jack Jill. She was a member of Woodman of the World and was past president of South Oak Towers. Surviving is her husband, Harley; three sons, Maurice (Shirley) Havelock of Gales burg, Ill, Keith (Lois) Brisendine and Jerry (Tere sa) Brisendine both of Ottumwa; two daughters, Mary Shipley (fiancé Jim Hull) and Linda (Walt) Estes both of Ottumwa; 12 grand children; 30 great-grand children; a great-great granddaughter; a sister-in law, Wanda Nadine Shep herd of Burlington; three brothers, Carl and Ralph Shepherd both of Ottumwa, Ron (Bonnie) Shepherd of Bakersfield, Calif.; a sister, Eileen (Ron) Coyne of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter; a great-grandson; two broth ers, Harry Earl and Ivan Laurice Shepherd; and an infant sister, Irene Shep herd. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Mattox officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Fri day. Memorials may be made to Hospice, 312 E. Alta Vista, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501. (ail Potts ELDON — Gail Potts, age 62, of Eldon, entered into new life on Feb. 20, 2007, at Van Buren Co. Hospital in Keosauqua. She was born on Jan. 4, 1945 in Van Buren, Mo. to Sanford and Max ine Jor don Dor ris. She married Jerry Potts on Nov. 24, 1962 at Midway Calvary Baptist Church. She was raised and edu cated in Eldon, graduating from Cardinal High School in 1962 and later from nurses college at Indian Hills Com munity College in Ottumwa. She had been previously employed at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield, Sunny Slope Care Center and Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa. She was currently the librarian at Eldon Public Library. She was a member of the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, Bayview Reading Club, Wapello Co. Fair board, the Eldon Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and a past member Eldon Chapter 1 T. She is survived by her hus band; her daughter, Lori (Robben) Franklin of Eldon; her sons, Ronald (Amanda) Potts, Jerry Lee (Julie) Potts and Terry W. (Kristine) Potts of Eldon and Chad (Carrie) Potts of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; her grandchildren, Jordan, Erin, Shelby, Kaitlyn, Sean, Shana, Preston, Brandon, Kristopher and Theryn; and her great-grandchildren, Meghan and Trinity. She was very involved in all her grandchildren’s activi ties and interests. She is also survived by her parents of Eldon; her broth ers, Larry Dorris of Eldon and Donald Dorris of Pulas ki; and special family, There sa Dovico and Shawn Cre mer. Funeral services will be Friday morning 10:30 a.m. at the Living Hope _ Bible Church in Eldon with Pastor David Albert officiating. Interment will be in Eldon Cemetery. Open visitation will begin at noon on Thursday at the church with the family pre sent from 7 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
