KOLE to join KKMYThe offices and studio for radio station KOLE are expected to move in with those of sister station KKMY on Fannett Road in Beaumont.The transmitter for KOLE, 13.40 on the AM dial, will remain off Memorial Boulevard in Port Arthur, said George Ferris, operations manager for the two stations owned by UNO Broadcasting Corp. which is based in Joliet, 111.KKMY, 104.5 FM, moved offices from the Kyle Building in downtown Beaumont to Fannett Road in February. Its transmitter will remain in Orange County. The KOLE move should be in May, Ferris said.KKMY plays contemporary hits sprinkled with those from the Big Chill era while KOLE broadcasts music from post World War I and later with local sports coverage, Ferris said.The move should upgrade efficiency, hesaid.
