Historic House Goes To SocietyThe historic Van Veghten House on the Singer Co.’s Diehl Division property in Finderne has been donated to the Somerset County His- , torical Society as the result of the | sale of the 130-acre site to Stanley . Rustic of Somerville.The house, which was erected in 1715, was occupied by General Greene during a period of the Revolutionary War.The sale also marks one of Somerset County’s largest industrial transactions in recent years, according to Louis Schlesinger Company of Newark, which handled the sale.A major portion of the site has been leased for manufacturing and warehouse facilities. The Singer Diehl Division will continue to operate on more than 300,000 square feet of space adjacent to the site acquired by Mr. Rustic.-0-
