Joaes, Chief of the Police, had received a telegram froxn Social Circle, announcing the capture of John Chisolm. This we found was without foundation. Capt. •Jones stales that he received no such telegram. and both telegraph offices corroborate his statement with the assertion that no such telegram bad been received over their wires.BEEN NEAR EAST POINT.Mr. Bain, a sewing machine agent, says that he saw John Chisolm sitting by tne roadside on day before yesterday, aud that when he approachrd and called to mm that Chisolm ran into the woods. Says that he knows Chisolm well and could net have been mistaken about identifying him.
