Coroner’s Inquest.—An inquest was held by Matthew Borland, ex officio coroner, orer the remains of Charles Steinhagen, on last Friday. A number of the employees of the railroad were examined, and the verdict of the jury, substantially, was, “came to his death by violence, caused by being thrown between the bumpers of two freight cars, by the collision of two freight trains, on the 16th, and crashed to death.” And the jury further found that said collision was produced by the gross carelessness of the engineer, who went to sleep at his post, while his train was at full speed.
