Now the Dietzes are most happy for the oppor tune visit of an old friend of Soley’s from the Philippines. Marge Walter returned Monday from a lovely visit to Las Vegas, New Mexico where the temperatures were in the high sixties. Ray and Ruth Wilson went to Buckley, Ill.over the week end to visit high school friends, the ‘Warrens. Iva Kuntz has been confined to her home by a boat with tonsilitis. The Gatelys, Diehls and Wemberlys were entertained by the Steven Uhleans. Sat. night where Kay’s pizza, was the piece de resistance! The green “uni formed cookie sales girls have a new cookie this year to add to their regular types, sand wich, shortbread and chocolate mints. Actual order-taking will be between, March 4th and 15th, and the cookies will be delivered April 6th. Thirty-two Neighor hood cookie chairmen will aid the girls in their drive. Girl Scouts of Bremen Neigh borhood are portraying the life of Juliette Lowe, who introduc ed the Girl Scout movement in the United States, on Feb. 23rd, at 2:30 P.M. Over 400 girls will participate. Tickets can be had from any Girl Scout or Brow nie. On February 4, Mrs. Leonard Meenan and Mrs. Harold Swee ney were invested as co-lead ers of Troop 322. At the same time, Mary Meenan and Donna Sweeney were welcomed as new troop members. The troop had a Valentine party on February 11. Re freshments were served and games played. On February 11, Girl Scout Troop No. 169 also had a Valen tine party, to which Boy Scouts of Troop No. 215 were invited. Refreshments were served, games played and there was dancing. Thursday, January 31, Brow nie Troop No. 247, under the leadership of Mrs. L. Scheidel and Mrs. A. Stupak, visited the Coca-Cola plant in Markham. They were accompanied by Mrs. G. Doyle, and Mrs. G.
