Nels Slipsager of Clyde received: burns Wednesday morning of; last week while starting a fire at the ; office of the Anderson grain elevator I Evidently there were live coals in the j stove and when Mr. Slipsager at-1 tempted to hasten the fire by pouring . on kerosene', there was a flatdi and the can exploded throwing flaffres in every direction. Mr. Slipsager rushed to the door and called for help and with the assistance of fellow townsmen the flames ' were extinguished j about his clothing and the office roombut it was found later that he suffered severe burns on his left hand and the lower part of his body from the waist down. At the time it was thought he would eventually recover, but his death followed as. a .result.
