Lavik’s contingent I worked like a hornet’s nest—busy all I the time. Down Tucson way there are groups of college students who are still talking about the speedy and heady playing of Ike Zaner and Gove Allen. The little Hebrew played into the hearts of the spectators by his unerring ability to find the loop, and his passing. Coach McHale of the Wildcats, however, credits Gove Allen with being the best all-around player he has seen this year.Lavik used all of his men during the first game in an effort to outdo the jinx which had followed him into camp.
