Tempo’s towering center, put the Bulldogs in the lead in the last quarter when he sank a long shot from the center of the court and followed up with another short one.Graescman was high point getter of the evening, 20 of Tempe’s 33 points being credited to his accurate shooting. Detloff, Flagstaff** chief hope, was off and missed set-up after setup, making only seven points for the Lumberjacks. Honer Allen garnered nine points while Zaner only * made 5.Allen and Wilson, playing one of their most spectacular guarding games this season, considerably weakened the Lumberjack defense when they were eliminated with four personal fouls each. Detloff, too, that evening seemed dead on his feet and could not connect with the basket in the accurate precision that he generally does.While the defeat of the Lumberjacks docs not entirely eliminate them from the claim to the southwestern championship, their claim is now only about on the same standing as Tempe’s and the University of Arizona.
