OBITUARYOn February 12th, I was called to Sallisaw to . conduct the funeral of Miss Sadie Price; the death angel having entered the home of our dear Siste*r Susie Price and claimed for its victim, her loving daughter,' Sadie. Miss Sadie was 22 years, 3 months and 18 days old. She was a devoted daughter and highly respected by every one in the community. She leaves? a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. She was-attending Business college in Ft. Smith when sh£ contracted a case of “Flu” from which she never, recovered. Aftei; a lingering illness of more than four' months, her spirit took leave of the body and returned to “God who gave it” while the body was laid- in the tomb to moulder back to dust from whence it came. It is sad, indeed, £o part with our loved ones, but. sweet is the thought that God has promised us a ressurection from the grave. He sent his Son and Savior into the world, who died upon the cross, was buried, but burst the bars of death came forth victorious over death and ’the grave, thereby assuring man a res-surrection from the dead. Glorious thought, that !Sleep on, dear one, a little while,Thou hast gone on before; But soon we’ll greet thee with a smile, On heaven’s peaceful shore. Will W. Slater, Muskogee, Okla.
