Hague, conducted the defence.The information, which was a lengthy one, charged the defendant.That you on or about the 19th da;, jf ApriJ, 1904. at Port Pirie aforesaid, l.i-Uwfully, fraudently, and deceitfully, did combine, conspire, confederate and agree together with one Frederick Leveringtonto prepare a false and fraudulent account between tou,■aid Frederick Lererington, and unlawth« said Fred Gray and thefully, fraudently, and deceitfully did oomhioe, conspire, confederate and agree with the aaid Frederick Leverington that he, tha aaid Frederick Leverington should for a false and uutrue consideration purport to absolutely transfer to you the aid Fred Gray, the following properties, to wit. Allotment No. 59, Hundred of Pjria ; Section 76. Hundred of Pirie ; Soctiona 104 and 105, Hundred of Pirie ; Allotment No. 51, Hundred of Pirio, the aaid properties then belonging to and being the whole or principal part of the estate of the aaid Frederick Loverington being then insolvent and unable to meet hia liabilities, with iptent thereby to cheat and dofrad the juat and lawful creditors of the aaid Frederick Leverington t* the evil example of all others in the like case offending and against the peace of our Lord, the King, hia Crown and dignity.The hearing of the caao occupied several days, and a number of witnesses were examiued. Grey was committed to take hia trial at the next quarterly session to he held this month. Bail was allowed Gray in one surety of £100, end two others at £50 each.
