After a few months of political life he went back to his preaching, but resumed his victorious political career later on, on the death of his chief. Now, sit 64, having held the Premiership since last, summer, he is likely to make the most of his power and to wield it for the good of the people. His has been a remarkable life; ho has founded a University, built up a newspaper, held a professorship, edited an encyclopaedia, lectured, in twenty-five American cities,. written an opera, and given to the world more than a hundred literary publications of all sizes and sorts.
