One of the first public speeches here by new Albert Lea police chief Richard Alstad will highlight Thursday's annual banquet meeting of the South Side Businessman’s Association. The banquet, set for 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge Hall, will also feature election of new officers. A social hour will precede the affair, starting at 6 p.m. All members and their guests are welcome, according to Association secretary Scotty Chinberg. Tickets are available at the Florette or at 373-7256.
