Anton Smrkovski, 83, well known in and about Pomeroy, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 1941, at his home in Poca hontas, following a long illness. He was a brother of Frank Smrkovski of Pomeroy. Mr. Smrkovski was born in Bohe mia, coming to Chicago at the age of 9 years. For any years he farmed near Pomeroy and in 1919 took up residence in Pocahontas. He is survived by his widow, one son, three daughters, several grand children and great grandchildren. One son ds in 1918. Besides the brother at Pomeroy, he is survived by two sisters at Pocahontas. Funeral services were held Tues day at 9:30 a. m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic church with Rev. Wil lam P. Hyland, officiating. Burial was made in Calvary cemetery near Pocahontas,
