R. 0. T. C. Camps Are Abolished; .Cadets' To Attend SchoolMajor C. H. Moore made a talk i chapel Monday to explain the Wa Department’s new ruling on the sum mer R. 0, T. C. Camps.He has received notification tha these camps will be abolished. West ern cadets, who could qualify, hav previously gone to Camp Custer, Midi igan, after which they received com missions in the Reserve Corps.Now the War Department ruling i that cadets who have had four yeai* of R. 0. T. G. military training will b sent to an officers’ school, probably t Fort Benning. If they meet all re quirements there, they can win com missions. In other words, the sam amount of R, 0. T. C. training wi’ still be necessary and will lead to commission, but the training schoc will be more efficient and more ad vanced. The cadets who qualify wii be better officers.
