. Walker, 64, of Broderick, who was buried in a pauper’s grave here last week, left savings amounting to more than $000, Mrs. Stella Gibbs, public administrator, his discovered. Said to have been penniless and without friends, Walker was brought to the county hospital February 5 and he died four days later. The county provided a simple funeral. A few days later, a man who knew Walker at Broderick said he belies the dead man left some money. Gibbs searched Walker ‘ound a savings’ pi amento bank. Letters found in the cabin indicated that Walker had a sister when she wrote a letter in sister had a daughter. From what he sister wrote in her letter, she was peeting Walker to visit her soon. It is believed that death prevented the m from using his savings in mak ing the trip.
