LUTHERAN HOME AND FOREIGN MISSION SOCIETY ELECTED NEW OFFICERS—PROGRAM WAS GIVEN. Me AT The annual meeting of the Womans Home and Foreign Missionary society of the First Lutheran church was held yesterday afternoon at the church and reports were given and of ficers for the coming year were elit ed as follows: President—Mrs. Oscar Purn. Vice president—Mrs. A. L. Mar tin. Secretary—Mrs. Charles Dahlgren. Treasurer—Mrs. F. M. Johnson. Secretary of Mission paper—Mrs. Alfred Linman. It was reported yesterday that the membership for the year was 109 and the income from the memberships amounted to $54.50, the collection for yesterday being $11.50. A very good program was given at the meeting, and after the program and business meeting a social hour was held and light refreshments were served by the committee composed of Mrs. Charles Dahlgren, Mrs. S. N. Johnson, Mrs. August Palmberg and Mrs. Oscar Purn.The following is the program which was given: History of the organization—Mrs. C. L. Johnson, Paper, “Congregational Secretar ies’—Mrs. Charles Dahlgren. Financial report—Mrs. S. N. John son. Duet—Mr. and Mrs. Purn, Reading, ‘Read, Come, Pay’’—Miss Elsie Johnson. Paper, ‘“‘Why we are members of the Mission Society’——Mrs. Oscar Purn. Report on Mission paper—Mrs. Palmberg.
