Mr. John DeWees was leader. No where in the state can as fine a lot of young people be found. Still the Sunday School attendance increases; 255 answered the rot. Since the bad weather has passed, the attend ance should reach 300. The new Bible Study Class meets in the ladies' parlor on Saturday evenings. Sixteen young ladies entered this class. Any others desiring to become a mem ber, meet the class next Saturday even ing. Mr. S. M. Enfield and wife united with the church last Sunday. We were glad to welcome them. Everybody was delighted with Dr. Lewis’ Lincoln Day address. The church was full. The address was patriotic and instructive. The fifteen cent luncheon on last Wednesday evening, was largely at tended. The pastor spent two days on busi ness at Salina, this week. ‘The subject for next Sunday morning ‘is, “Worth Saving,” and in the evening ‘Hays’ Possibilities Miss Faythe Logan will sing at the morning service. The pastor and wife and Mrs. Morgan spent Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Reidel. Father Jason Stock had a severe fall last Monday, but is much better today. Wonder if the country looks natural? Andrew Jensen shipped his cattle to Kansas City, Saturday morning. Will Gosser and family spent Satur day evening with his brother Dade. We understand as won as our new toy school house is finished, there will be a chance to initiate it. Hans Jensen made a flying trip to the Ssline, Tuesday. Misses Mabel and Arnie Laure Blender, Ruby and Jessie Gosser were a Mrs. Obley can entertain the Buck eye people now, she has a phonograph, it seems as though ‘‘Leap Year’ does not have a very god effect on the Buckeye girls. Charles Hawks was a pleasant caller at Dora Gasser’s Sunday Mr. Will Obley and son Wilson left for Emporia Wednesday evening to visit Mr. Obley’s parents, never have failed to arrive home safe and sound yet. Frank Payne, Jr., took his brother's place Sunday and took his mother and brother and Mable and Anna Laura Blenster to Hays. ‘Miss Grace Brewer visited with Ruby Gosser Saturday and Sunday at her home in Buckeye, Mrs. Christofferson of the Madden rach, spent Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Peterson. One of the leading Fords of West Buckeye refused to go one day not long go and turned cross ways in the road, and its owner had to make several trips to the farm house to get the necessary sools to fix it with. Will Gosser returned home Saturday morning from his eastern trip. The Jensen Boothers butchered six hogs Wednesday. Several of the neighbors assisted their Eyes and Ears.
