Mrs. Charles Chisholm, whose death at her home in Langdon was announced in this paper last week, was one of the pioneers of this county. She was born in Ontario Sept. 21st, 1857, and came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Copeland, to this county in 1885, residing near Bealieu. The mother died a few months after moving here and the father died in 1890. Of the family of six only T. V. Copeland of Tacoma, Wash, and L. 11. Copeland of Duluth now survive. The latter was present at the funeral. Mrs. Chisholm was in tho early days of Cavalier county the editor of »he Courier Democrat, then published by McLean Koehmstedt. She was married to Charles Chisholm in 1893 and leaves one daughter, Edna, aged fifteen years. Mrs. Chisholm has been very active in social and church circles and her luss will be greatly felt. The funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings were numerous.
