+_$ ff Fonda J. A. Tiedeman visited in Sioux the first of the wee. R. F. Beswick is numbered among the sick this week. J. N. Rude’s son is getting mong nicely with the small-pox. Mrs. J. Mallison spent Tuesday at i n the Garlock home east of town, AR. Sullivan’s little baby is quite sick this week with bronchial nervous ness. __ 8. S. Tucker, our veteran milk dispenser is listed among the sick this week. Fred Spelling is visiting at the M. G. Coleman and R. A. Wild homes this week. Dennis Callahan came down from , Minnesota last week to call on old, time friends. Hebe Beardsley and family now oc cupy the residence recently vacated by Henry Dorton. Patrick Kearns is now getting along nicely and hopes are entertained for his final recovery. Frank Patrick, a former resident of this place, but now living in Marshalt own, was here last week. There is no need of going to Klon dike for winter weather; when it seems to be 40 below here in Town, Mark Noyes will farm ‘the piece of ‘land north of town owned L. A. Rothe land J. %. Jordan the coming season. Horses come high and good horses command a good price. Sylvester Barron lately sold a team to Md. Ellis for $350. A. A. McCartan of Barnesville, Minnesota, is with us once again. He is now engaged in the land business in that country. Dr. McMichael, formerly of this place, but now of Jopline, Missouri, was in town last Saturday greeting his numerous friends. Mitt Maulsby is in a critical condi tion, with little hope for his recovery. His illness seemed to start with an at tack of rheumatism. This rumored that several of the young people intend to organize a ping pong club, to consist of about twenty-four members, Yolan Bros. are fitting up the O'Don nell building with new show cases and shelving, preparatory to moving their stocl of goods into it. Nearly all of the local telephones were rechanged and put in good work ing order the first of the week, by Burt Harleman and Geo. Griffith. G. G. Craft will give a Washington dance in the hall on Friday night of this week. Tach’ ticket ‘sold entitles the purchaser to a chance on his’Shet land ponies. The station west of town called Moul ten, will hereafter be known as Cora. It is located on Arthur Moulten’s property, hence he had it named after his wife. I Miss Mina Rock left on the morning train Monday for Sac City. From there she will go to Lake View, where she will act as bridesmaid at her cousin’s wedding. Mrs. L. A. Raymond visited with her sister in Storm Lake last week. While there she also attended the W. R. C.. Lincoln’s birthday reception, given to the G. A. R. and their wives by the W. R. C. Mrs. George Sanborn ‘entertained the ladies of the Fonda W. R. C. Lin coln’s birthday. A dine program was rendered in the afternoon and a 5 o'clock tea was served.
