Gapt. .lamps Luce lias recently had the White Beach house repainted. He has also purchased quite an extensive tract of land adjoining this property at Cres-ceut Beach and now owns the pood, which is such an object of admiration to people in Bummer, dotted as it is with numberless waterlillies at that season. Just as soon as the weather will permit the captain will build a substantial bulkhead along his entire property front, timber already having been secured for the purpose. The lawn fronting the hotel will also be graded down to the waters edge before the opening of another summer season.
