Last Friday evening a troupe of colored “ jubilee singers0 gave a concert at Kiverliead llall. They are under the lend of William B. Butler, who is well known, through his former connection with the Texas Jubilee Singers, as the bass singer. Mr. Butler 1ms a small troupe, but they make up in quality what they lack in quantity. The audience was small, but those present will undoubtedly see to it that their friend* enjoy the treat on the occasion of their return visit on March 2. Mr. Butler is the leading attraction, though Mr. Charles A. Asbury is capable of giving the full value of the admission price by hiuiself. They are not connected with any “ institution” in need of funds, etc., but simply appear on their merits. They do all they agree to, and furnish a varied and unusually fine entertainment. Let’s all hands go next time.
